Dixon horse lady to plead guilty to theft on Wednesday

Rita Crundwell, the longtime comptroller of Dixon, Illinois, is expected to plead guilty tomorrow to wire fraud. It's believed that she stole over $50 million from the city of 15,000, which is best known as Ronald Reagan's hometown.

Crundwell is a champion horse breeder. The US Marshals Service has been auctioning off her assets--including hundreds of quarter horses and a motor home valued over $1 million. But what will be collected will fall way short of what she apparently filched.

It's a real shame.
