Video: Americans for Prosperity contrasts Reagan's greatness with Obama's failures

The great Ronald Reagan rescued America from a wretched economy and did it by unleashing our inherent ingenuity, not by empowering government. Reagan managed to accomplish this feat by not blaming his predecessor for the steepness of his challenge.

In his first inaugural address, the man who was born in Tampico, Illinois 101 years ago today, boldly laid the issue down to the citizens he would serve: "In the present times government is not the solution to our problems. Government is the problem."

Obama believes the people answer to government. Reagan, a much more successful president, thought the government should answer to the people.

In a web ad, Americans for Prosperity sheds more life on this stark contrast.
