America has 14,000 abandoned wind turbines

Lee County, Illinois
Wind power is easy, right? Just build some windmills--and the electricity is free. Wrong, wrong, wrong. The turbines themselves are expensive, and they break down. Wind power is not a feasible source of power without federal subsidies--and that money is free, right?

Say Anything reports that America has 14,000 abandoned wind turbines. They're like scarecrows, only they don't scare crows or Climate Change Believers.

14,000 in the USA? Even Andrew Walden, the anti-wind activist that invented the number only claimed it was world-wide.

The reality is that there might be 1650 inactive wind turbines right now representing perhaps 0.1% of the total wind generating capacity.
