Althouse: Latest Madison protests; Blago-enabler Schakowsky heads to Milwaukee to assist Walker recall effort

In related Wisconsin news, my congresscritter, Jan Schakowsky (D-Evanston), traveled to Milwaukee yesterday with her leftist minions to assist in the recall effort against Walker. Clearly Schakowsky thinks Illinois, which has a $15 billion deficit, needs company in the Midwestern Fiscal Basketcase Club.

Illinois' fiscal hole was largely created by convicted felon Rod Blagojevich. Schakowsky's husband, ex-con Robert Creamer, was a key operative for Blago in his successful 2002 gubernatorial primary. Schakowsky endorsed Blago that year and in 2006, when the hair-brained one also faced a primary challenge.

"Notably, Schakowsky has generously donated thousands of dollars to Blagojevich's campaigns over the years" said a National Republican Senatorial Committee spokeswoman two years ago.

A good reporter should ask Schakowsky about her long silence about Blago's sins--until his 2008 arrest.
