Potato harvesting in Latvia in the early 1970s

Mrs. Marathon Pundit grew up on a Soviet collective farm in Sece, Latvia. From left to right is her father, Mrs. MP, and her mother. The photograph was taken in the early 1970s.

They're harvesting potatoes, Latvia's cool summers are ideal for tuber cultivation.

Looking at this photo brings back memories for me, too. Remember black and white film? And televisions? Actually doing real work?
